Why does Mean Green cost more? The base pepper material used in Mean Green costs 50% more than the usual Fox Labs pepper base. Fox Labs needed to refine it to a previously unprecedented degree to remove all the impurities, including the characteristic orange color, so the green dye could be mixed with it. However, with purity comes not only the benefit of the green dye, but it make the pepper faster-acting since there are no "cool" ingredients to get in the way of the heat creating components.
