The UV Leds are rated at 395 nM for the 21 led flashlight and 385 nM for the 9 Led.
Either light is a very bright UV light that is excellent for detecting urine ,counterfeit bill detection and other uv chores.
Darkening a room always improves seeing UV fluorescense but this light is so powerful you may not need to.
The 385 nM naturally has less visible light but may work better on some inks and materials due to its higher energy wavelength.
