For your protection against listening devices that are not detectable by conventional methods, engineers have developed the ANG-2200 White Noise Generator (Acoustic Noise Generator). This professional white noise generator defeats such listening devices as wired microphones buried in a wall, contact or spike microphones, transmitters located in AC outlets and laser/microwave reflection from windows. This is accomplished by producing a security blanket of generated noise completely covering your private conversations with unfilterable sound.

Most sound masking systems inject noise into an otherwise benign environment. In this environment, the occupants must raise their voices above the noise level to communicate, which invariably, eliminates the benefit of noise masking.
REI's masking system injects noise into the environment perimeter and not directly into the environment. This approach allows normal conversation while defeating eavesdropping devices that rely on acoustic leakage.
The ANG-2200 is an excellent addition to high level countermeasures or can stand alone to provide perimeter protection. Various transducer adapters are included with the ANG-2200 for coupling walls, ceiling, air ducts, plumbing, windows, etc.
Features
The ANG-2200 offers two channels each with a truely random noise source. Both channels have a seperate high and low frequency control in order to compensate for loses found in the enviroments material composition.

The REI noise masking system consist of a main unit (the ANG-2200) and three optional accessories that are purchased to tailor the system to the environment of concern. The ANG-2200 accessories are:
TRN-2000 Transducer used to inject acoustic noise into walls, ceilings, windows, plumbing, and air ducts.
Normally used in groups of 4, 12 and up to 18 at one third level.
OMS-2000 Omnidirectional Speaker used to project acoustic noise into drop ceiling air spaces, closets, crawl spaces, and air ducts. Maximum per generator is 12 speakers at full power.
How Many Transducers or Speakers do I need?
Transducers: The ideal installation would be accomplished during construction or re-modeling where areas to be protected can have transducers built into the buildings structres. The next best thing is to place the transducers directly on wall surfaces. If visual appearance is a problem, they can be disguised or covered accordingly.
To Protect:
Walls: One transducer placed every eight linear feet.
Mount on or within 6 inches of a stud.
Floor and Ceiling: Place one transducer centered on every 64 square feet. (Use the OMS speaker for drop ceilings)
Windows: Place on on every majorframe of glass within 6 inches of the corner.
Doors: Place one adjacent to the center hinge on the doorframe.
OMS Speakers: For the space above a drop ceiling, hang one speaker centered in every 81 square feet. For closets and crawl spaces; one speaker suspended at half the room height centered on every 81 square feet.
Type of Wire:
Use 18 gauge zip cord wire for lengths less than 60 feet.
For longer runs use 14-16 gauge heavy duty speaker cable obtainable from audio stores.
