Easy to set up and use. Has its own power adaptor if you don't want to use batteries. You can have the recording stop when the memory is full or continue to record over the older material. The Home Guard can run on 4 AA batteries (has low battery indicator - new alkaline batteries should last about 6 hours, (lithium may last longer) or the included power adaptor to plug into the wall. Can be connected to a monitor for constant surveillance as well. Has "Record" light to indicate if actively recording. If set in motion detection mode you will have more memory as non-movement will not use up memory. Set in motion detection mode, it will start recording when the screen pixels move and stop recoding when motion stops. Motion detection sensitivity is adjustable. Depending on what you are viewing motion detection can record only the video worth watching for a long time. Note: To erase the memory of the IC9102 and start recording from Frame 1 again simply hold the record button down when turning the unit on. The screen (you must connect the unit to a monitor or TV)will ask you to press the menu button. That's it.
