    Shipping and Taxes

    No sales taxes are ever charged unless order is being shipped to a location within Tennessee.

    Shipping charges are simple :

    $7.95 for orders under $99

    Ground shipping is only $3.95 if the product total is over $99.00
    Yes, any amount over $99 and shipping is only a flat $3.95. Even if the order is for $10000 or more!

    Expedited shipping is per UPS standard schedules.
    2 day and 3 day shipping is per UPS schedule - weekends are not counted.
    Example,For 2 Day shipping, if you order on a Friday before 1:00PM, your order will usually be shipped same day and be delivered on Tuesday of the next week. Tuesday is the 2nd business day after Friday.
  • Ordering over the internet is safe, easy, and totally secure.
  • When you order from Defensedevices.com over the internet, you connect with Yahoo Store's secure server which protects your credit card and personal information.

  • Internet Explorer users should see the LOCK (secure) symbol when you check out.
  • Firefox users should see the unbroken key symbol when you check out. Either way you shoud see the url start with https: (instead of just http:) for the page with personal information.
  • Shortly after placing your order on-line, you will receive an e-mail confirmation of the order you entered on-line. If you do not, you may not have completed the last confirmation screen, or your email address was typed incorrectly (usually).

    We try to send an email with the tracking number to you whenever possible. The tracking number is not generated until the package is scanned into the shipper's (UPS or USPS) system. This occurs after the package is loaded onto the truck out of here.
    There are normal circumstances when a tracking number is occasionally not sent. Email us and we will try and get that information to you as quickly as we can.

    Mission Statement

    The Merchant Risk Council will establish the fundamentals and standards of good practices for merchants in the e-commerce environment to identify industry trends of common interest among card not present (CNP) merchants and become a voice in the payments industry.

    Order by Mail:
    If you have access to the website, just click on the "order" button for the products desired. The products will be shown listed in the shopping cart. Fill in your shipping address, print and mail to us with your payment.

    Note: There is a $5 handling charge for all mail-in orders.

    You may order by mail by sending a letter with the following (or create the order online and send a copy of it):
    1. Items and quantities desired.

    2. Shipping Address and phone number(required).

    3. Check or money order for total plus add $8.00 for shipping and $5.00 for Handling.

    4. Include your email address if you would like confirmation.

    5. We accept money orders, cashiers checks, and personal checks. If your payment is by check there is a 11 day waiting period to clear. Most orders are shipped either UPS ground or USPS Priority mail.
    Please email if you need express shipping which can be arranged for most products except pepper spray.

    By Mail and Internet Credit Card Orders:
    Enter your address information carefully. UPS charges $11 or more for researching incorrect, incomplete or deficient addresses including zipcodes. This charge will be passed along to you when discovered. Be sure to include Apartment, Suite, Unit numbers for any address.
    If you are shipping to an address that is different than the credit card's billing address you should call your credit card issuing bank (the credit card issuing bank's 800 phone number is on the back of every credit card) and add the address where you want orders "SHIPPED TO" as an "ALTERNATE SHIPPING ADDRESS".
    This will only add an extra shipping address to your credit card file. This will not change your billing address. Not having an alternate shipping address on file could delay your order.

    Avoid the issue entirely by shipping to your billing address.


    Legal RESTRICTIONS: We do not ship any product outside of the United States.
    Pepper spray cannot be shipped by air.
    We do not ship to HI, AK, PR, Guam, Virgin Islands etc..Only the lower 48 states. We do not ship pepper spray to NY, MA, AK, or HI. Bear and dog spray will ship to NY. Stun devices are prohibited in these states; IL (FOID req'd),HI, MA, MI, NY, RI, WI(CCP req'd). We will not ship Tasers or stun guns to these states. The following cities also restrict possession and/or use of stun guns: In Chicago, IL., Denison, IA, and Washington D.C. Please familiarize yourself with the appropriate regulations by contacting your local police dept.,legal counsel or attorney general's office.It is the responsibility of you, the buyer, not DefenseDevices.com to understand your local, state, and federal laws before placing an order. It is highly recommended you seek training before purchasing any weapon.
    All the weapons and products sold on our on-line store are either novelty or collector items or are for defensive and training purposes only. We under no circumstances will sell to minors, or to anyone we feel may use our products for illegal purposes. We reserve the right to decline any order. By placing an order, the buyer represents that he/she is of legal age and that products will be used only in a legal manner. By placing an order for locksmithing tools, the buyer asserts to be, without fraud or deception, a bonafide member of the locksmithing industry, or other qualified personnel (repo, hotel manager, vending etc.).

    Having no control over the use of any product once in the buyer's possession, we assume no liability associated with their use. Under no circumstance is Defensedevices.com liable for any loss, cost or damage, of any kind arising out of the use or inability to use, these products, or the suitability of use for any particular task. This responsibility is totally with the buyer. Owning and/or carrying self defense weapons is a large responsibility. If you are not sure whether you can handle it, please don't buy our products unless you get the proper training.

    Sales to minors are strictly prohibited
    . By placing an order the buyer represents that he/she is of legal age and that the products will be used in a legal manner. We cannot assume any liability for the use of these products and recommend the buyer become familiar with the laws in their city, state, province, that regulates the use and possession of these products.
    We reserve the right to refuse any order for any reason. We will inform you if we do, usually by email.
    Shipping Methods:
    Shipping is done through USPS or the UPS. USPS is usually faster.
    If you need an item more quickly we can easily accommodate 2nd or 3d day and will charge actual shipping cost without any markup
  • If the delivery address is changed once the package has left our office, the customer will be charged an address change fee in the same amount UPS charges us. Usually this is $12, but could be more if expedited shipping was chosen.
    Changing addresses after the order is placed will not be possible with USPS shipping.
  • All refused shipments will incur a a $10.00 return shipping fee. UPS and the USPS charge both ways.
    Please note that pepper spray cannot be shipped by air without an expensive surcharge (hazardous materials). Any order that includes pepper spray will be shipped UPS Ground or USPS.
    Warranty and Defects:
    DefenseDevices.com warrants all products to be free of defects at the time of purchase. If the product you receive is defective you must notify DefenseDevices.com within 72 hours by email at Email: admin@defensedevices.com.
    There will be no refunds for lock pick equipment, used pepper spray, books, videotapes, and bug detection equipment. This includes GPS trackers and stealth or self-contained video cameras. This overrides any other general policies. If defective, replacement or repair will be prompt.
    Fox Labs pepper spray shelf life is about 2-3 years for 2 oz. and larger cans. Smaller keychain models may only be good for 1 - 2 years due to rougher handling that is normal (ie banging on steering column of automobile, etc). The manufacture date is stamped on the Fox Labs cans, not the expiration date.
    Hidden Cameras and Bug and Tap detectors are warrantied against defects for 6 months. Due to the nature of these products, returns can only be accepted for defective units. We will replace them promptly.
    If an item is returned and is found not to be defective a 25% re-stocking fee will be charged if it is returned in complete and unused condition in its original packaging within 45 days. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Customers are responsible for shipping charges associated with returning product to us unless the product was defective or received in error. The refund will be reduced or may not be available if the item is not in new condition and/or if the retail packaging has been damaged or if more than 45 days have passed since receipt.
    Returns Recap: We have some of the lowest prices on the Internet and the Internet has the lowest prices in the world. Since we do not get a large markup we cannot afford an overly generous returns policy. We want to make sure you get an item that works properly so we will be happy to replace defective items.
    So, here's how the return policy works:(Not for lock picking or spy equipment, this is explained above) 1. Notify us in 72 hours and return the item in 15 days in new, unused condition with all sales material and retail packaging intact and you will only be responsible for return shipping to us. (We will refund the purchase price 100%). Any order that had free or reduced shipping will have actual shipping charges deducted from the refund. Shipping charges are not refunded whether for ground shipping or expedited. Any item refused will have actual charges deducted from the original payment in calculating the refund. UPS charges for the original shipment and the return to the shipper. 2. After 15 days, a minimum 15% re-stocking fee will be deducted from your refund if the product is in new, unused condition with all the original retail packaging intact. Any order that had free shipping will have actual shipping charges deducted from the refund. Again, shipping charges are not refundable. 3. If the item is not in new condition or the retail packaging is missing or damaged, the maximum refund allowed will be 50% and it may be less depending on the product and the condition. Any order that had free shipping will have actual shipping charges deducted from the refund. 4. After 45 Days, no refunds are allowed, only warranty replacements or partial credit towards an exchange for another product. Free Replacement:
    Should you have to use pepper spray purchased from DefenseDevices.com in a defensive situation, we will replace it for free if you mail, email or fax us a note describing, in detail, the incident and the police report. We will not publish your identity or any detail you feel will compromise your safety.

    Defensedevices.com wants you to be satisfied with every purchase and we will make every effort to resolve any problems. All products carry the manufacturer's full warranty. Should you be dissatisfied with your product for any reason (except lockpicking equipment and spy stuff), you may return it within 72 hours from the date received for a refund less shipping charge if it is in new condition and in its original package. Beyond 72 hours you may return the product for exchange with another product less shipping charges.
    We cannot refund shipping charges.
    No Returns without an RA number. Call or email before you send any item back. Items without an RA number will be refused.

    Fraudulent Orders Internet fraud is a violation of multiple federal, state, and local statutes. Such acts will result in multiple felonies being charged against the perpetrator.
    Defensedevices.com is committed to fighting fraudulent and unauthorized credit card orders on the Internet. This allows us to keep our online prices at the lowest possible for the benefit of our customers.
    Defensedevices.com diligently reviews all orders. Any order or confirmation that fails our review is considered "suspect" and will not be processed. In events of loss incurred to DefenseDevices.com, contact will be made to the appropriate law enforcement agencies to seek apprehension, prosecution and restitution to the fullest extent of the law.
